There are five instances of suicide in Scripture: Judges 9:50–57; 1 Samuel 31:1–7; 2 Samuel 17:23; 1 Kings 16:15–19; and Matthew 27:3–10. All these suicides are in the context of shame and defeat.
Likewise, when more noble characters ask God to take their lives (such as Jonah or Job), God clearly views their self-destructive requests unfavorably.
