Because he is ‘spirit’ he is incorporeal, having no visible substance. Had God a tangible body, he would not be omnipresent, he would be limited to one place; because he is ‘spirit’ he fills heaven and earth.

He sustains all, but is himself independent of all. He gives to all, but is enriched by none… Subject to none, influenced by none, absolutely independent; God does as he pleases, only as he pleases, always as he pleases. None can thwart him, none can hinder him.

God’s knowledge of the future is as complete as is his knowledge of the past and the present, and that, because the future depends entirely upon himself… God foreknows what will be because he has decreed what shall be.

Because God is holy he hates all sin. He loves everything which is in conformity to his laws, and loathes everything which is contrary to it.

Our lives are neither the product of blind fate nor the result of capricious chance, but every detail of them was ordained from all eternity, and is now ordered by the living and reigning God. Not a hair of our heads can be touched without his permission.

Far above all finite comprehension is the unchanging faithfulness of God. Everything about God is great, vast, incomparable. He never forgets, never fails, never falters, never forfeits his word.

There is such an absolute perfection in God’s nature and being that nothing is wanting to it or defective in it, and nothing can be added to it to make it better… Not only is there no imperfection in God, but there is no perfection in him that is less perfect than another.

God is not only the greatest of all beings, but the best. All the goodness there is in any creature has been imparted from the Creator, but God’s goodness is underived, for it is the essence of his eternal nature.

The wrath of God is his eternal detestation of all unrighteousness... It is the holiness of God stirred into activity against sin. It is the moving cause of that just sentence which he passes upon evildoers. God is angry against sin because it is a rebelling against his authority, a wrong done to his inviolable sovereignty.

Divine grace is the sovereign and saving favor of God exercised in the bestowment of blessings upon those who have no merit in them and for which no compensation is demanded from them.
