Bible prophecy was never given by God so that we can just ooh and ah and oogle about the possibilities of the future.
It is given by God to form our moral and ethical approach to life today as Christians, as people of God, so that if we see that in the future, God’s purpose is that he has witnesses and a witnessing church then we must ask ourselves, “Are we a witnessing church?”
We can’t just say, “Oh, someday there’ll be two witnesses. We’ll leave it to Mo [Moses] and Eli.”
We can’t just say that maybe at this point in history or in the future, the church will be a witnessing church.
We must ask, “Are we—are you—a witnessing people?”
