Meet Steven, a man whose love for God and the Bible is expressed through excellent song.
He has earned more awards than any other Christian singer. But Steven didn’t aspire to be famous. He came from a musical family in Kentucky, where he learned to love God and love song.
Steven raised a musical family of six children—three adopted—with his wife, Mary Beth.
His daughter Maria was tragically killed when she was five, leaving her family to exercise their unshakable hope in the face of unimaginable grief.
Steven started an organization called Show Hope, to financially assist people wanting to adopt.
God, I want to be your man and I want to communicate, because time is short. I want to live with that sense with the music I make, with the art I make, with the way I love my kids, with the way I am a father and a husband and a friend and a follower of Christ, I want to live with reckless abandonment to the truth of the Gospel.

of the Father,
give it up, give it all over
to the only one who
can turn it into
something beautiful.
God is God and I am not.
I can only see a part of the picture he’s painting.
I believe God weeps
over death.
Jesus wept at the
grave of Lazarus.
In the Bible, Jesus
weeps at death.
