A Plan to Get to Know Your Heavenly Father

12 Lessons

Life gets really tough when your parents divorce. We made this reading plan for you who are enduring that difficulty right now.  We want you to have lasting hope—hope that goes beyond your hard circumstances. We believe that you’ll find hope when you find God, the only perfect loving Father. Through this plan, we hope to introduce you to him in a fun interactive way.

When strife fills your home, it’s so easy to want to block it all out—to cover your ears and run to whatever refuge you can find, like music, food, buying new things, or destructive habits. That’s totally natural. But remember that running away can be dangerous depending on what you’re running to. We want to help you run to the right place—into the arms of God the Father.

We get to know God through the Bible. He tells us in the Bible that the Bible is his Word (2 Timothy 3:16), and by reading the Bible carefully, we hear him speak.

We know it can be really hard to open your Bible. Where do you start? How do you understand unfamiliar names, places, and situations? That’s why we have made this reading plan for you. It will help you open the Bible and give you practical activities to help you build your relationship with God one step at a time.

We want this reading plan to be a place where you run—something to fill your mind with—when you’re alone in your room, on the bus, at study hall, or looking for something to do on a Friday night.

Even though we made this plan with kids in mind whose parents just divorced, we trust that it will be helpful to anyone, old or young, in good circumstances or bad, who wants to get to know our Heavenly Father better.
