God, our creator, has made himself known. He has spoken, and his words are recorded in the Bible. We call this revelation.
You may wonder, “But what about Moses, and the Apostle Paul, and even Jesus? Clearly men wrote the Bible!”
You’re right. God, the Holy Spirit, is the primary author of the Bible, but God spoke through men. We call this inspiration. God chose to speak his words through over forty authors, over the span of 1600 years, in 66 books.
Is this book fact or fiction? If the Bible documents real people and real events, then it has real implications.
We hope you will see that it is reasonable to believe the Bible. But belief in the trustworthiness of the Bible ultimately comes down to a relational decision, and not just a rational one: Will you trust that the Author is telling the truth?
The Bible is all you need as you embark on the rest of your big adventure called life. God tells us his words are a mirror to free us from self-deception, a sword to fight life’s battles, water to the thirsty soul, bread to the hungry heart, and light for the lost.
